For over 38 years, Piano For Adults has strived to build the preeminent center for adult music education in Northern California. Over the years we have carefully adjusted our approach to music education by carefully adding the most relevant aspects of psychology and psychophysiology¹ to our practice. While we strive to bring every client world-class knowledge and technology, we also strive to work with every client individually so they feel like they are receiving the compassionate and skilled educational experience they come here for.

Piano For Adults is not a standard set of philosophies and beliefs generated by many decades of integrating relevant psychological principles into piano teaching. It does not advocate simply sitting a student in front of a musical score to teach notes and rhythms. We empower our clients; that is, we teach them to learn (learn to learn), and more importantly, we teach our clients to think critically about music, and musically, which means they go beyond the mere notes on the printed page.  Our leading-edge curriculum and latest technologies in cognitive neuroscience, psychology and the performing arts enable us to deliver unsurpassed instruction to everyone.
